The Tanzania Police Force was officially established on August 25, 1919 by an English Government announcement from the Gazette No.Vol.1 No.21-2583 at that time it was called the Tanganyika Police Force. But the army was legally established by the Police Force Act of 1939 (THE POLICE FORCE AND AUXILIARY SERVICES ACT OF 1939) PRINCIPAL LEGISLATION. This law is in force until now, although it has been amended from time to time.

Later in 1921, a group of Police Inspectors from Europe arrived in Tanganyika and established a specialized police training school in the Morogoro region that met their needs and had enough professional soldiers. Despite having black soldiers who qualified for training, but still those soldiers remained with low police positions because all the top positions were given to white soldiers.

The Chief of the Police Force announces to all young people selected to join the Police Force in the country that they are required to report to the Moshi Police School from 02/10/2023 to 07/10/2023 to attend the initial training to join the Police Force.

Young people who were interviewed at the Forces under the Dodoma Police Headquarters (Depot, Band and Technical) are required to report to Dar es Salaam at the forces they interviewed on 02/10/2023 at 12.00 in the morning for the trip to the Moshi Police School .

The young people who were interviewed in the Regions of Mainland Tanzania are required to report to the Regional Police Commanders who were interviewed on 01/10/2023 at 2.00 am in order to be given the procedure for the trip to the Moshi Police School.

Likewise, the young people who interviewed in Zanzibar are required to report to the Zanzibar Police Headquarters (Ziwani) on 01/10/2023 for travel arrangements.

In addition, all selected youths are required to report to the Moshi Police School with the following equipment:
i) Track suit, blue color with white stripes, t-shirt
white without text, rubber, black socks, blue pants for sports and training with a metal box (Tranka) of blue color.

A white round and not square mosquito net, two pairs of light blue sheets (Shuka 4), one gray blanket without flowers and a charcoal iron.
iii) Hygiene equipment: kanja, two small buckets and a broom.
iv) Health insurance card (NHIF) or cash Tsh.50,400/= for those without Health insurance cards.
v) Original Academic Certificates, original JKT/JKU certificate, original birth certificate, NIDA card or NIDA number, Copies of NIDA cards or NIDA numbers of parents and close people (if such as aunt, uncle, grandfather, grandmother, etc.), passport size photos, 06 copies (blue background), and 5 copies for each certificate specified above.
vi) Livelihood funds.
