Mkuranga District is bordered by Temeke District on the North side, Ilala on the North West side, on the South side it is bordered by Kibiti District, on the East side it is bordered by the Indian Ocean and on the West side it is bordered by Kisarawe District.
Mkuranga District has an area of Km. of 2,432 square meters of which Km. of 447 square meters are water (Indian Ocean) and Km. of 1985 square meters of land where the area of km. 1934 square meters suitable for agriculture.
