Netcare education application for 2025
Netcare Education FNAH offers the Higher Certificate in Nursing (R169) (HC) and the Diploma in Nursing (R171) (DN) programmes at the following campuses:
- Gauteng South West – Auckland Park (HC 70 spaces and DN 60 spaces)
- Gauteng North East – Centurion (HC 30 spaces and DN 50 spaces)
- Western Cape – Bellville (HC 40 spaces and DN 40 spaces
- Eastern Cape – Gqeberha (HC 30 spaces and DN 40 spaces)
- Kwa Zulu Natal – Umhlanga (HC 40 spaces and DN 20 spaces)
- Please note that due to limited capacity in terms of student numbers per intake, applicants meeting entry and selection assessment requirements for one of the nursing programmes, will be awarded a space at the next available intake. This may not necessarily be in the 2025 intakes.
- Placements are awarded based on merit and a first come first serve principle and regulatory specifications.
- All undergraduate Nursing programmes are offered as full time programmes.
Netcare nursing college 2025 intake requirements
Minimum Requirements for Entrance are:
A National Senior Certificate that grants admission to a higher certificate/diploma programme as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Trainin (Umalusi) or an equivalent qualification at a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) exit level 4 (four) with the following subjects: Higher Certificate (HC) in Nursing (Regulation 169): One Year of Study – Full-time programme
- English minimum 40% (forty percent),
- Mathematics or Mathematic literacy minimum 40% (forty percent), and
- Life Sciences minimum 40% (forty percent).
Diploma in Nursing (DN) – General (Regulation 171) Three Years of Study – Full-time programme
- English minimum 40% (forty percent),
- Mathematics or Mathematic literacy minimum 40% (forty percent),
- Life Sciences minimum 40% (forty percent),
- Computer Literacy at NQF level 3 (three), and
- One other subject with a credit value of 20 (twenty) minimum 40% (forty percent) from the designated subject list as outlined in policy 751 of 2008 of the Department of Education.
- Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant health-related qualification at NQF Level 3 (three) or 4 (four), for example as an Auxiliary Nurse (Reg 2176) or NQF Level 4 (four) as an Enrolled Nurse (Reg 2175) and who have met the institutional selection criteria may be granted entry into the diploma programme.

Netcare Education utilises the logistic services of KR Education to manage the application and pre- selection process on our behalf.
Step 1: NB: The above minimum selection criteria must first be met in full for an applicant to be considered further where the institutional selection criteria will be applied.
Step 2: ONLY if your National Senior Certificate meets above requirements you may apply to participate in the pre-selection assessment process.
Step 3: application
- Netcare Education FNAH applicants can go to www.kreducationsa.com to complete their online application.
- KR Education is Netcare Education’s logistics partner who manages the nursing application process on behalf of Netcare Education.
- An application fee of R 490.00 (four hundred and ninety rand) will be payable to KR Education.
