🌍 About the Programme

The Youth Grassroot Leadership Internship is designed to develop the next generation of community-based leaders who are committed to driving positive change in Tanzania. As an intern, you’ll work directly with youth groups, help organize leadership training, support advocacy campaigns, and contribute to sustainable community projects—all under the mentorship of WWF Tanzania.

📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and conduct training sessions and capacity-building workshops

  • Coordinate and report on youth leadership activities and projects

  • Support the development of community partnerships and networks

  • Facilitate learning sessions and community reflection meetings

  • Assist in content creation for events like Earth Hour and Global Youth Meetings (GYM)

  • Monitor and evaluate programme progress

  • Collect stories, create videos, and contribute to impact reports

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, candidates must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Communication, Environment, or a related field

  • Have experience leading or managing youth groups or youth-centered projects

  • Be fluent in English and Kiswahili (spoken and written)

  • Be based in Masasi, Tanzania

🔧 Required Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organizational and planning skills

  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Passionate about youth development and conservation

  • Able to adapt to different environments and work proactively

  • Affiliation with youth networks is a plus
