Mbeya and Songwe on behalf of the Chief Executive TANROADS is looking for suitably qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant positions available for Engineers, Social Welfare Officer and Accounts Officer as follows;
POSITION TITTLE: ENGINEER II (2 POSTS)
Scope of Position: Successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering or Transportation Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Higher I earning Institutions. Must be Registered by ERB as Graduate Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To undertake road inventory, condition and traffic count surveys;
- To investigate source and quality of construction materials along the roads
- To identify source of road accidents IV.
- To attend regular site meetings and prepare minutes
- To supervise contractor at site and force account operations and
- To verform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
POSITION TITTLE: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (I POST)
Successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
Must be holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields; Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Planning and Management, Commerce or Business Administration Majoring in Human Resource Management or equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To Implement Human Resource policies, laws, Regulation, Procedures and strategies
- To conduct recruitment process, placement; transfers; promotions; industrial relations: superannuation schemes and welfare.
- To maintain staff database and personal records
- To maintain staff performance and appraisals
- To maintain failing system
- To manage security service; transport and general utilities To maintain office equipment; building and grounds and
- To perform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
POSITION TITTLE: TECHNICIAN II (WEIGHBRIGE OPERATIONS) 2 POSTS
Scope of Position: Successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
Holder of Full Technician Certificate (FCT) or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or any other Engineering field from recognised learning institution/ College
Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out activities as described in the EAC Vehicle Load Control Act of 2016 and its Regulations of 2017 which include the following; Weighing motor vehicles gross vehicle weight (GVW)>3,500 kg plying on our public Roads To enforce Axle Load Control by the use of weighbridge scale devices
- To impose road damage fees on the spot for overloaded vehicles
- To measure physical dimensions of motor vehicles or any load being carried on the motor vehicle for providing advices to transporter for provision of relevant advice.
- To record all necessary particulars regarding the motor vehicle being weighed and
- To perform other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisors
POSITION TITLE: TECHICIAN II (3 POSTS)
Scope of Position: Successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
Must be holder of Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Diploma in the following engineering fields: Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering or equivalent qualification from recognized Institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To inspect and reports on roads and bridge maintenance work
- To supervise road and bridge maintenance works III. To measure and certifies works and payments
- To undertake road inventory and condition survey
- To undertake road traffic count
- To carry out in situ testing
- To undertake laboratory tests and monitor test results and trends VIII. To prepare invoices for materials testing
- To undertake laboratory apparatus and equipment calibration
- To prepare site report and
- To perform such related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
POSITION TITTLE: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT II (WEIGHBRIDGE) I POST
Scope of Position: Successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be holder of Certificate in Accountancy from recognized Institutions or Accounts
- Technician Certificate | (ATEC I) by (NBA) or equivalent qualifications Learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To undertake general financial clerical duties.
- To undertake filling and record keeping of financial transaction
- To despatch cheques;
- IV. To perform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
POSITION TITLE: DRIVER II (3 POST)
Key Qualifications: Must be holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with Basic Driving Course offer by VETA or any other recognized Institution license Grade C with good record in driving for not less than one (1) year.
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English languages
- Must not be above 35 years of age IV. Must be Tanzania Citizen
Duties and Responsibilities
- To drive Agency’s motor vehicles
- To maintain the vehicle logbook
- To undertake motor vehicle services
- To maintain safety and cleanliness of the motor vehicle
- To deliver and collects and goods and
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
