Ardhi university admission 2023/24, Ardhi University Courses. Ardhi University (ARU) is a public academic institution established under the Ardhi University Charter of 2007. Currently, ARU is a unique institution, being the only one of its kind in Tanzania and in Africa so far offering integrated training and conducting research in the various matters related to land, the built environment, social-economic as well as other environmental related disciplines under one roof.

Apart from the land and environmental related disciplines, ARU also offers undergraduate training in areas of Economics; Community and Development Studies; Information Systems Management; Computer Systems and Networks, Civil Engineering; Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing; Accounting and Finance as well as Real Estates, Finance and Investments.

All these are offered in twenty-two (22) undergraduate programmes currently running at Ardhi University. In this regard, Ardhi University is a place where careers are nurtured and highprofile graduates are produced each year. Our graduates are introduced to practical training through in-semester fieldworks, industrial trainings and project works throughout their academic life at the University. This approach does not only impart them with practical knowledge and skills, but also facilitate easy link and access to the labor market upon graduating.

Applications for admission to various undergraduate degree programmes at Ardhi University (ARU) for the academic year 2023/2024 are invited from qualified candidates who finished form six and diploma levels. As per the TCU Admission Almanac for 2022/23 admission cycle, First Round (which includes the mini and major windows) will start on 15th June 2022 and 15th July 2022 respectively and last up to 05th August 2022; Second Round will last from 24th to 06th Sept 2022; and the Third Round will run from 19th to 25th Sept 2022. Should there be any changes, you will be informed accordingly.

All applicants are invited to send their applications directly to the University through an online system using the link http://admission.aru.ac.tz/ or by clicking the online Admission link accessible in the University website (http://www.aru.ac.tz). Once on the admission page, all requisite information and guidelines to take the applicant through the application stages are provided.

Applicants are requested to register their names as they appear in their Form Four certificates; likewise their index numbers, email address and telephone numbers where prompted. Applicants are further reminded to use valid telephone numbers and email addresses which will be used to relay feedback of the admission processes. They should as well use passwords that they can remember easily.

Undergraduate applicants with foreign certificates are required to apply for Certificates of Equivalency Translation  Equivalence Number from the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) at: https://www.necta.go.tz/. Applicants with Foreign Certificates will be required to use the Equivalence Number during the application process  while those with Diploma qualification will be required to use Award Verification Number (AVN). Foreign applicants are advised to apply for the Certificate of Equivalence Translation (with equivalency number) from NECTA; while Diploma applicants are advised to apply for Award Verification Certificate (with Award verification Number) from NACTE as the necessary inputs for the application process.

All degree programmes at ARU runs for four years except Bachelor of Architecture which runs for five years; and Bachelor of Arts in Economics; Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management; Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and Networks; Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance; and Bachelor of Arts in Community and Development Studies (BA CDS) which run for three years each.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION AT ARDHI UNIVERSITY

A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to a first-degree programme of Ardhi University if the candidate has obtained:
A. Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C. S. E. E.) or equivalent, with passes in FOUR approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A. C. S. E. E.) or equivalent

AND

B. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A. C. S. E. E.), with TWO principal level passes in appropriate subjects, with total points not below 4.0 based on the following grade to point conversion scale:
i) Before 2014 and 2016 onwards: A = 5; B = 4; C = 3; D = 2; E = 1; and S = 0.5) where; A, B, C, D, E are principal passes; S is a Subsidiary pass
ii) For 2014 and 2015: A = 5; B+ = 4; B = 3; C = 2; D = 1; and E = 0.5) where; A, B+ , B, C are principal passes; D is a Pass, and E is Subsidiary Pass

OR

C. An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as NACTE Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) with at least a GPA of 3.0, OR FTC with average of OR any other Diploma of not less than Upper Second Class/B+ OR a Distinction for unclassified Diplomas from recognised institutions and approved by the University Senate

NB: Principal level passes and passes in Religious and General studies are not counted. Applicants from countries which follow an 8–4–4 education system need to complete at least one year of study at a University in their own countries before they can be considered for admission.
