Tangazo la ajira TAMISEMI 2023, The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has approved the hiring of 21,200 teaching and health cadres.
The number of Employees who will be employed in the Teaching Cadres is 13,130 who will teach in Primary and Secondary schools. In addition, the number of employees who will be employed in Health cadres is 8,070 who will work in Halmashauro Hospitals, Health Centers and Dispensaries.

All qualified applicants should apply online through the link ajira.tamisemi.go.tz. This announcement is about graduates of Teaching Courses from 2015 to 2022. Applicants who have previously sent their applications through the employment application system are required to update their information in the system.
Primary Teachers (Ajira Walimu wa msingi 2023)
- Grade III A Teacher – With a Primary Education Teaching Diploma,
Sports Education, Special Education and Primary Education (certificate in primary
education);\ - Grade IIIB Teacher – Must have a teaching certificate (diploma) that they have studied
Basic education. - Grade IIIC Teacher – Must have a teaching degree for Early Education.
Secondary Teachers (Ajira walimu wa Secondary 2023)
- Grade III B Teacher – Must have a Teaching Diploma who studied Special Education with English Language, Literature in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics;
- Grade III C Teacher – Must have a Teaching Degree who studied Education Special for English Language, Literature in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics;
- Teacher Grade III B – Must have a Teaching Diploma of the subject English Language, Literature in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Basic Mathematics;
- Grade III C Teacher – Must have a Teaching Degree in English Language, Literature in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Basic Mathematics;
- Standard Laboratory Technician – Must have a Diploma in Standard Laboratory Technician or Diploma in Laboratory Science and Technology.

About TAMISEMI
The establishment of the Ministry of Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI) is enshrined in the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania Article 8 (1) 145 and 146 of 1977 and many other amendments thereafter.
In 1982 under the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania passed the Local Government Authorities Act No. 7 (Cap 287) and the Urban Authorities Act No. 8 (Cap 288). The two laws empowered the Minister responsible for Regional and Local Government Administration on the establishment of District, Village, Small Town, and Local Government Authorities.
The role of TAMISEMI is to coordinate and supervise regional development management and administration. TAMISEMI coordinates rural and urban development management policy and strategies; coordinates Regional Secretariats activities and builds their capacity in institutional development strategies for integrated socioeconomic development and financial.
