Vocational training opportunities to develop skills and work skills for young people. The Office of the Prime Minister – Labour, Youth Employment and the Disabled is implementing a National Skills Development Program that enables the National workforce to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in the labor market. The office has entered into an agreement with various colleges to provide vocational training to develop skills and work skills for young people.

Among the trainings that will be offered are Fashion Design and Tailoring, Plumbing, Masonry, Carpentry, Welding and Joining, Painting and Marking, Mechanical Spare Parts Manufacturing, Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, Domestic and Industrial Electricity, IT, Automotive Electronics, Hotel and Tourism Services, Gem Mining and Agriculture.

Therefore, we would like to announce to young Tanzanians between the ages of 15 and 35 who are interested in joining training in one of the fields listed above to come to the colleges specified in this announcement below to take the form to request to join training.

The government will fund the training fee at 100 percent. The student / parent / guardian will cover other expenses including the fare to go to college and back home. The training that will be offered is full-time, so the applicant is advised to apply for this training in a college located in the Region where he lives.
Applications should be submitted from 01/11/2023 to 14/11/2023 accompanied by the following documents:

i. Training application letter;

ii. Copy of Birth Certificate;

iii. A copy of the certificate of education you have graduated;

iv. Citizenship ID / voter’s card (For those aged 18 and above);

v. Letter of identification from the Local/Village Government Office where the applicant lives; and

v. Four passport photos (three names of the applicant should be written on the back).

The qualifications for joining this training are:

i. Basic education or more in the fields of fashion design and tailoring, plumbing, construction, carpentry, welding and metalwork, painting and sign writing;

ii. Education of the fourth form and continuing in other fields including the field of mechanical spare parts manufacturing, automotive engineering, domestic and industrial electricity, IT, automotive electricity and solar electricity;

iii. Be a Tanzanian;

iv. Be between 15-35 years old;

v. Be healthy;

5. Female Youth and Disabled Youth are encouraged to apply for these opportunities and will be given priority in these training opportunities;

6. Applications should be taken and submitted to colleges in your Region that have been accepted by the Government to provide this training; and

7. Only those who meet the criteria and qualifications will be analyzed
