No 124 issued on 7th May, 2013. TAWA was established to take over wildlife management functions originally performed by the Wildlife Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism. The Authority is an autonomous body responsible for protection, management and administration of wildlife resources outside National Parks and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Authority is one among the Units under Wildlife and Forest Conservation Service (WFCS).
