Minister of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Adolf Mkenda has inaugurated the new Yombo Secondary School built in Ikuna Ward, Njombe District, Njombe Region
Speaking on October 03, 2024 in Ikuna Ward after launching the school, Prof. Mkenda has said that the Government continues to invest heavily in the education sector so that Tanzanian children can get an education in the best environment and build their skills.
“President Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan continues to ensure books and modern teaching and learning materials as well as improving the environment of teachers” emphasized Prof. Mkenda
In addition, he added that the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology allocates funds every year to provide on-the-job training for teachers to enable them to have opportunities to discuss and exchange experiences and to discuss various matters to improve education in the country.
Member of Parliament for Lupembe State Enock Swale has thanked the President of the Republic of Tanzania Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan by ensuring that development reaches the lowest people.
The Member of Parliament added that the state has 12 Wards but until now it has 13 new Ward Schools and added that the work of Hon. Samia Solutions Hassan are showing themselves.
And the Principal of Nyombo Secondary School Anastazia Nchemwa has said that the school has 139 first form students and that more than 583 million shillings have been used in the construction of the school’s infrastructure.
Mwalimu Nchemwa added that the government has already provided them with books for learning and teaching and that a total of 100 million shillings has been placed in the school’s account for the construction of a twin house for teachers.
Through the SEQUIP project, the Government, together with other works, is building 1000 ward secondary schools to move the service closer to the people. Of that, it has already built 760 schools that have been completed and started.
