Role Overview
The Translator will be responsible for translating visual material from the source language to the target language while ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Watch and rewrite content while preserving meaning
✔️ Use translation software for consistency
✔️ Research terminology using dictionaries & references
✔️ Work with dubbing teams to clarify content
✔️ Proofread and edit translations
✔️ Follow legal and ethical translation standards
Qualifications & Skills
🎓 Education: Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
🗣 Language Proficiency: English & Swahili
✍️ Writing & Editing: Strong grammar and translation skills
🎬 Experience: Prior translation experience in media, films, or content creation
🖥 Software Knowledge: Familiarity with translation tools or subtitling software
