🌍 About the Russian State Scholarship Programme 2026/2027

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Tanzania, in collaboration with the Government of the Russian Federation, invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for this year’s Russian State Scholarship Programme.

Through this initiative, students can study various disciplines — from science and engineering to arts and social sciences — at top-ranked Russian universities.

📋 Scholarship Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following academic criteria:

• ✅ Undergraduate applicants:

  Must have a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) and an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with a minimum of Division II.

• ✅ Diploma holders:

  Should have a GPA of not less than 3.5 in a related field.

• ✅ Master’s degree applicants:

  Must possess a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) with a GPA of at least 3.5.

• ✅ PhD applicants:

  Should hold a Master’s degree in a related discipline.

• ✅ Language requirement:

  Applicants are encouraged to attend Russian language courses at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture for at least six months during the application process.

💰 Scholarship Coverage

This is a partial scholarship that covers tuition fees only.

Applicants are responsible for other expenses, including:

• Accommodation

• Travel and visa costs

• Healthcare or insurance

• Stationery and other living expenses
