Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa (JKT) has officially announced nafasi za kujiunga na JKT 2026 — opportunities for young Tanzanians from both Mainland and Zanzibar to volunteer for National Service training in the year 2026.
According to a public notice signed by Major General Rajabu Mabele, Head of the National Service, this year’s intake invites all qualified youth to apply and participate in the JKT voluntary training program that aims to build patriotism, unity, and technical skills among Tanzanian youth.
Application Process and Selection
The application and selection process for joining JKT 2026 will be coordinated through Regional and District Commissioners’ Offices (Ofisi za Wakuu wa Mikoa na Wilaya) where applicants live.
Qualified youth will be selected to join training at various JKT camps across the country, with the selection process starting on January 26, 2026, in all regions of Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
