Russian YouTuber, Yaytselav has sparked outrage online with videos of his encounters with ladies in Ghana and Kenya. He met them in public places and asked them to follow him to his hotel without hesitation. Social media users have called for an investigation to be launched.
The government has directed security and investigative agencies to urgently investigate an incident in which a Russian citizen is alleged to have secretly recorded and distributed images of Kenyan women without their consent.

In a statement, Gender Cabinet Secretary Hanna Cheptumo condemned the incident, describing it as a form of technology-facilitated gender-based violence that threatens the safety of women and girls.
“As a government, we view such violations not only as criminal acts but also as threats to the fabric of our society, which is founded on respect, dignity, and the protection of vulnerable people,” Cheptumo said.
The Cabinet Secretary stated that the government will take firm action, with relevant agencies instructed to immediately follow up on the matter, including cooperation with international authorities due to its cross-border nature.
“Anyone found guilty will face the full force of Kenyan law under the Penal Code, the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, and all relevant laws that protect women and children,” she said.
She also urged members of the public to refrain from sharing or circulating the content, warning that doing so perpetuates abuse and could attract criminal liability.
Meanwhile, Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura condemned the man’s actions, accusing him of exploiting women and violating their privacy by recording their interactions and sharing the images online without consent.
“I condemn the Russian man for exploiting our women,” Mwaura said. “However, as Africans, we must also learn to value ourselves. Our women should not assume that every white person is automatically wealthy.”
In the past 24 hours, a man of Russian origin, identified only as Yaytseslav, has been trending across various social media platforms.

This follows revelations that he has been secretly recording private encounters with several women across Africa and sharing the videos on his social media pages.
His actions recently came to light after he posted a series of videos featuring women from Ghana, which prompted further investigations.
