Nkinga Institute of Health Sciences has the status of full accreditation by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE). NIHS has three (3) established departments namely:-
- Nursing Department offering Basic Technician Certificate in Community Health, Pre-Service and In-Service Diploma in Nursing.
- Clinical Medicine Department offering Technician Certificate, Pre-Service Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
- Medical Laboratory offering Pre-Service and In-Service Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

Admissions
Students are admitted twice every year i.e. September and April intake. For further details kindly visit the Offered Courses page.
Students go through the admission process and after the completion of the process selection of students for new academic year follows and the list is displayed in the institute’s notice boards as well as published on the website.
After reporting to the institute the students will undergo a two (2) week orientation on the regulations and rules of the institute as well as the environment of NIHS including Nkinga Hospital.
