Manara acha kutumia Homa ya Mgunda kiutani – Wizara ya afya. The Ministry of Health has asked Haji Manara to stop using his online influence by using health information for mockery purposes, including traditional jokes. Earlier today, Manara posted a video on his Instagram page showing Minister @ummymwalimu explaining the outbreak of Mgunda disease, while the @wizara_afyatz page responded to the post explaining that the video is not current.
“Greetings @hajismanara. We have seen the news that is circulating on the internet showing a traditional football joke between the @simbasctanzania and @yangasc teams involving the name of Coach Mgunda,” the statement said. The statement explained that uploading the video online may be received differently from other people and cause panic about the outbreak of smallpox.
“Due to the influence you have in the community, some people may know that the disease has re-emerged and it is not the intended message of a football joke, “It would be good if you explain that the video is temporary and there is no Mgunda disease in the country or remove it and use other content.”
