Mtaala wa Elimu ya Msingi (2024). The Primary Education Curriculum has been prepared in the context of ensuring the provision of education that meets the current needs of Tanzanians and provides equal learning opportunities for all students.  The curriculum has focused on various issues including 21st Century skills, the growth of Science and Information and Communication Technology and globalization. You aim to ensure that the Primary Education provided is good and its graduates become patriotic, independent and able to speak more than one language.

In addition, Primary Education is expected to produce graduates with various knowledge and skills that will enable them to contribute to bringing Tanzania into an industrial economy. The curriculum also emphasizes the provision of inclusive education, that is, education that values ​​and respects abilities, needs, gender and recognizes that all students can learn and succeed. In addition, this curriculum is expected to meet National, Regional and International requirements and prepare Tanzanian students to live in a competitive world.

This curriculum is divided into two main parts. The first part covers Class I-II. The main objective in this section is to build competence in KKK skills. The second part covers Class III- VII. The main goal in this section is to enable the student to build skills in the KKK skills as well as skills in other life skills through the study of Social Knowledge, Work Skills, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Citizenship and Morals, English and study options languages ​​(French and Arabic). It is expected that this curriculum will be implemented in cooperation between the public sector and the private sector.
