The Prime Minister’s Office – Labour, Employment and Relations has officially announced 5,476 training opportunities for Tanzanian youth under the National Skills Development Program.
This government initiative aims to equip young people with practical skills and technical know-how to increase employability and self-reliance in various trades.
The program will be implemented through 46 accredited vocational training institutes across different regions in Tanzania.
🎯 Program Objectives
The National Skills Development Program seeks to:

Empower youth with hands-on vocational skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

Support the growth of industrial and service sectors through skilled manpower.

Enhance innovation and productivity among Tanzanian youth.

Provide full government sponsorship for all selected trainees.
⚙️ Available Training Fields
The training opportunities cover multiple technical and creative fields, including:

Tailoring and fashion design

Plumbing and masonry

Carpentry and welding
-
Painting and signwriting
-
Hospitality and catering (hotel services)

Automotive mechanics and machine part fabrication

Domestic, industrial, and solar electricity installation

Gem cutting and metalwork
🧍♂️ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the training, applicants must:

Be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 15 and 35 years.

Have completed primary or secondary education, depending on the trade applied for.

Be physically fit and healthy.
-
Applicants with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply and will be given priority.

Training will commence on January 26, 2026.
📋 How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their applications to any approved vocational training institute within their region.
Applications must include the following documents:

A formal application letter.

A copy of the birth certificate.

A copy of the academic certificate.
-
A National ID or voter’s card (for applicants aged 18 and above).
-
A residence introduction letter from the local government (Mtaa/Village).

Four passport-size photos with names written on the back.
