8 Feed Mill Operator Vacancies at Evolve People Solutions
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned equipment or systems safely and efficiently according to the shift production plan and approved SOPs.
- Monitor critical process or equipment parameters, identify abnormalities and take appropriate first-line action or escalate promptly.
- Maintain accurate production, batch, material usage, downtime, machine and shift records as applicable to the role.
- Carry out required checks, housekeeping and safe shift handovers; report faults, hazards, spills, quality deviations and incidents immediately.
- Follow HACCP, GMP, food-safety, HSE, PPE, biosecurity and site procedures at all times.
- Support product quality, prevent contamination and material mix-ups, minimise waste and downtime, and protect plant and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Relevant technical qualification or demonstrated role-specific competence, depending on the operator position.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience for PLC, Batching, Pellet Press and Skid Steer operator roles, with hands-on experience relevant to the position.
- PLC role: Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control or related field;
- PLC/SCADA experience required.
- Batching role: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Food
- Technology or related field; experience with industrial weighing/batching systems preferred.
- Pellet Press role: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology or related field; feed milling/pelleting experience highly valued.
- Skid Steer role: Form IV minimum, valid driving licence and demonstrated competence operating a skid steer loader; plant-operation training is an advantage.
- Boiler Operator role: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology or related field;
