About the Training Officer Role
The Training Officer will be responsible for coordinating employee training and development initiatives across different departments. The role focuses on identifying skills gaps, planning training programmes, maintaining training records, and supporting employee performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying training needs across different departments.
- Designing and delivering various training programmes, including technical and safety training.
- Developing annual and monthly training plans aligned with company goals.
- Maintaining accurate training records and attendance registers.
- Collaborating with departments to identify employee skills gaps.
- Supporting onboarding and training for new employees and contractors.
- Coordinating with external training providers and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Supporting employee performance improvement through targeted learning programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as:
- Human Resources
- Business
- Public Relations
- Social Sciences
- Or another related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Training and Development.
- Experience in training needs assessment and planning.
- Ability to maintain training records and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of learning and development practices for improving employee competency and performance.
