Names called for Interview at Kwimba District Council. Kwimba District is one of the oldest districts in the eight Districts of Mwanza Region. In order to ensure that essential services including administrative services are brought closer to the people, in 1973 the Government divided Kwimba District and established two Kwimba and Magu Districts. Also in 1996 Kwimba District was divided into the current Misungwi and Kwimba Districts.
Kwimba District is located at latitudes 2o 45 ’and 3o 53’ South of the Equator and longitude 33o and 33o 30 ’East of Meridiani. The North District is bordered by Magu District, the East is bordered by Maswa District, the South is bordered by Kishapu District and Shinyanga Rural and the West is bordered by Misungwi District.
Kwimba District covers an area of 3,903 square kilometers, has five (5) Divisions, 30 Wards, 119 Villages, 871 Suburbs and Small Town Authority. It also has two (2) constituencies for Parliamentary and Councilor Elections which are Kwimba and Sumve. The District Headquarters is Ngudu 98 km from the Mwanza Regional Headquarters.
