The Institute has highly qualified staff dedicated to patient care. In the quest for its mandated functions, JKCI works with stakeholders to meet not only national and ministerial health targets but also those of World Health Organization (WHO).
The Institute has 203 employees organized into six directorates which are Cardiology services, Surgical Services, Nursing Services, Clinical Support Services and Corporate Services. These directorates are sub-divided into 16 departments. The JKCI is boastful of her youthful staff but highly specialized in its areas of specialty. About 80% of the workforce is of the age between 20 and 44 years.
