KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing and supporting bank’s critical databases for Core Banking System, Digital channels, Clearing systems and others.
- Responsible for configuring and maintaining database replication and ensuring that data is real time synchronized.
- Installation, configuration, and design new database instances to support business requirements.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and version upgrades when required.
- Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of backup solutions.
- Troubleshooting backup issues related to databases, servers, Virtual Machines and File Systems.
- Perform data restoration and recovery tests and maintain proper documentation.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements regarding data backups.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Routine production database support functions including and not limited to checking for table space free space and memory utilization.
- Resolving database-related issues and working closely with the development staff.
- Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment.
- Configuration of backup solution on requested servers and Virtual Machines.
- Perform database related native backups.
