We’re Hiring: Assistant Accountant at DOCG Tanzania (Dar es Salaam)

📍 Position: Assistant Accountant

🏢 Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (Candidates must be based in Dar es Salaam)

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• ✅ Support in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and month-end closing

• ✅ Manage invoices, payment processing, and bank reconciliations

• ✅ Monitor and assist with general ledger account reconciliations

• ✅ Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• ✅ Ensure compliance with accounting standards and TRA regulations

• ✅ Collaborate with external auditors during audits

• ✅ Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff

• ✅ Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

📚 Qualifications:

• 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 📈 Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (experience in construction or project-based accounting is an advantage)

• 🧾 CPA certification is a plus

• 🏛️ Knowledge of Tanzania tax laws and TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority) regulations

• 💻 Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP

• 👁️ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
