The history of the establishment of JKT begins in 1958 during the visit of national leaders to Ghana, where the Father of the Nation Mwl. Nyerere and Hon. Rashid Kawawa (Simba wa Vita) went to attend the celebrations to celebrate one year of the country’s independence.

While in the country, Hon. Kawawa was invited to dinner with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Ms. Golda Meir.

Hon. Kawawa had the opportunity to speak with the leader, who explained how the State of Israel prepares its youth to serve their nation with a patriotic spirit.

The ‘Lion of War’ was impressed by the information given by Mrs. Meir, the type of procedure used by the State of Israel to gather and prepare young people for military service and later to perform other national duties with courage, patience, cooperation and discipline.

Nafasi za kujiunga na JKT 2024: The Chief of Army for Nation Building, Major General Rajabu Nduku Mabele, is informing all the youths of Tanzania Mainland and Islands about the opportunities to join the training of the Army for Nation Building by volunteering in 2024. Procedure for young people to appl and finally selected to join the training, you are coordinated by the Offices of the Heads of Regions and Districts where the applicant lives.

The interview of those young people to join the Nation Building Army Training for volunteering will start on October 1, 2024 for all regions of Tanzania on the mainland and on the islands. The youths who will be appointed will be required to report to the Nation Building Army Camps from 01 November, 2024 to 03 November, 2024.

In addition, the Nation Building Force would like to inform the Youth who will have the opportunity that the Nation Building Force does not provide employment, nor is it involved in finding employment for them in Organizations, Defense and Security Agencies and various Government and Non-Governmental Organizations, but provides training that will help the Youth to become self-employed themselves immediately after finishing their contract with the Nation Building Force.
