These days businesses are greatly simplified with the development of the internet which enables people to sell and buy goods and services through the internet. Because of these advances, often when we are using the internet we come across very distant objects such as software, books, clothes, watches, cars or even online reading courses.
These items often have a very good price that attracts them to buy. The biggest and most logical problem that arises is the security of our money and our bank accounts when we make online purchases. I personally am an online buyer so I am going to explain the important things to do before you give your bank card number online.
1. Find a Debit card or Credit card
A debit card is a card that allows you to buy things online using the money in your bank account. And Credit Card allows you to buy on credit from the bank you use and then they deduct a small amount from your salary or any other way you agree with the bank. These cards are like Elephant card visa and Elephant card master CRDB Bank cards;
Other banks such as NBC, Stanbic Bank and BARCLAYS Bank also offer similar Cards. After you get your card you need to go to your bank and they will allow you to make online purchases.
2. Join the Paypal website.
Paypal is the world’s leading online payment management website. Its main function is to keep your important banking information up to date. So using paypal, you register and enter your visa or master card number.
You can then deposit the money in a paypal account or deposit it in your bank account. When you make a purchase The seller is paid by Paypal and not you directly to protect your banking information.
3. Buy from a website that has a system for sending your information securely.
For security there is a technology called SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL works to transport your information in a state of confusion so that no offender can understand it, when it arrives it is re-created so that the seller can understand it.
This technology is also used to send email, blackberry being the mainstay of this technology. To find out if a website uses this technology you will see a lock mark on the address of the respective website when it opens. Look at the address entry, left or right.
4. Use a trusted website
When you buy something online first make sure the site is well known, if it is not known make sure it is certified by and online law enforcement agencies such as BBB (Better Business Bureau), you will see the logo of these organizations below on the seller’s website.
5. Buy from a reputable retailer.
How do you know if a seller is acceptable in the marketplace and has experience in selling things online? Easy! For example, if you want to buy a watch on Ebay or an electronic book (PDF) on Amazon, under the product you have selected you will see the comments of people who bought it before you.
It is a good idea to spend a lot of time reading the comments of many people before proceeding with the shopping exercise. Another way to get people’s feedback is to use websites like Yelp, Google+, Yahoo directory or Yellow pages if the seller has joined them.
6. Choose how to use your luggage.
You need to decide how you will use your luggage that will make it easier for you to get it. Shipping costs will be displayed on the Internet and the arrival time for each cost. In Tanzania you can use DHL, UPS or any other organization you trust.
7. Make sure the seller serves your location.
Some retailers select countries or cities where they can ship and others sell the whole world. This information is placed under the product you want to purchase, this will help you save time to eliminate unnecessary inconvenience.
