The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has dropped charges against Businessman James Rugemalira and the Court released him.

On June 19, 2017 the PCCB brought Seth Na Rugemalila to court for economic sabotage. they were arraigned in Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court on six counts of economic sabotage, including causing the Government a total loss of approximately Sh358 billion.
State Attorney Paul Kadushi cited other charges against the the two as conspiracy, involvement in a criminal network, forgery, issuing forged documents, obtaining money through fraudulent means and causing losses to the Government.
