Block Farming Agriculture in Tanzania
The government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, has prepared agricultural areas for the youth to invest in agriculture and remove them from gambling.
This was said by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Anthony Mavunde in Dodoma in a meeting with editors aimed at implementing the participation of youth in agriculture through Building Better tomorrow program (BBT) , a program that hopes to increase employment for 3000 youth and increase the growth of the agricultural sector to 10 percent by 2030
“Our young people want to do agriculture but the infrastructure to make them do agriculture was not very friendly. We have decided to make agriculture attractive and let the youth come out of the cage and farm, so what we decided was to create a friendly environment to make the young people interested in farming. We have decided to clean up the areas and put in the infrastructure”.
