Destiny 2 season 22 release date, destiny 2 season 22 leaks, destiny 2 season 22 leaks reddit, destiny 2 season 22 release time. Destiny 2 Season 22 is ready to continue the game’s story as we head into the Final Fantasy expansion. Season 22 has been called “Season of the Witch” and the guardians will be able to see a lot of interesting things.

Destiny 2 season 22 release date

Destiny 2 Season 22 is the brand new season of Bungie’s popular MMO. It will continue where Season of the Deep left off building on the ongoing story while adding all kinds of new gameplay content for Guardians to explore.

Destiny Season of the Witch is the game’s next step on the road to The Final Shape, the game’s next expansion – and the culmination of the ‘Light and Dark’ saga which started with Destiny 1 all the way back in 2014 (although we’d argue it only really got going from Shadowkeep onwards).

Now that Solstice 2023 is over, the next season will take the game through to the Winter, and if the last chapter is anything to go by, there are revelations in store for our Guardians. Here is everything we know about Destiny 2 Season of the Witch, including the release date, start time, Raid and story possibilities, and more.

While the add-clearing potential from throwing Elemental Orbs around is a welcome addition to the current state of weapon balancing in Destiny 2, this isn’t necessarily an issue that needs to be addressed at the moment. On the other hand, though, the up-time for abilities and Elemental debuffs that Elemental Orbs are going to fuel is arguably going to reach a problematic extreme in Season of the Witch.

Destiny 2 season 22 release date

The release date for Destiny 2 Season 22 is August 22, 2023. The Season is currently available including its first weekly story mission, Battle Pass, and all the relevant activities.

Destiny 2 Season of the Witch will see Eris Morn turn into a Hive quite literally. She will help the Guardians to fight against Xivu Arath’s emissaries while helping us find a way into the Traveler’s portal.

As always Guardians will have to steel their nerves as with every passing day The Witness continues to make things difficult for everyone.

Destiny 2: Season 22 – Storyline, Weapons

The next season of Destiny 2, Season 22, officially begins on August 22, and after the last six months served as an epilogue to Lightfall with deep dives on the origins of the Witness and the mysterious Veil, the road to The Final Shape begins here. Right now, only Bungie knows exactly what will happen next season, although some leaks may have spoiled the surprise.

For now, we’re mostly ignoring those rumors for a spoiler-free roundup of what you can expect in Season 22. Obviously, not a whole lot has been revealed so far, but we’ll update this post with new details and assets as soon as Bungie begins to share those details. So far, the only real clue we have for what to expect from next season is a sneak peek at the new armor sets, and a cryptic reminder that “the Witch Queen must rise” if we’re to have any hope in stopping the Witness.

Destiny 2 seasonal weapons

Currently, there’s no clue as to what the weapon theme will be in Season 22 and what new perks you can expect. These usually tie into the current season, like Season of the Deep’s Taken-influenced weapons or Season of Plunder’s pirate arsenal, so there’s a good chance that this theme will continue in Season 22.

Season 22 artifact

Bungie has a new plan for the seasonal artifact in Season 22, and after being inspired by the success of Strand Tangles, the studio is looking to replicate that gameplay mechanic with “Elemental Orbs” that can be generated when enemies are defeated with Arc, Solar, or Void weapons. Throwing an Elemental Orb will produce a result that ties into the identity of that subclass, like jolting targets with an Arc orb, scorching enemies with a Solar orb, or applying a volatile debuff to any foe hit with a Void orb.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
