RUSSIAN STATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

1.0 Call for Application

The General public is hereby informed that the Russian State Scholarship programme for the 2024/2025 academic year is now open for eligible Tanzanians to undertake Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in Russian Universities in all fields of study. Interested candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

2.0 Application requirements

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Have a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) andAdvanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with a

    minimum of Division II;

  2. Have a Diploma with a GPA of not less than 3.0 in related fields;
  3. Completed ACSEE or Diploma not more than three years ago;
  4. Hold a Bachelor of Art/ Bachelor of Science degree with GPA not less than3.5 (Masters applicants);
  5. Hold a Master’s degree (PhD applicants);
  6. Have attended the Russian language courses at the Russian Centre ofScience and Culture for at least six months during the application process;

    and

  7. Must be less than 25 years old (undergraduate applicants).

3.0. Scholarship coverage
This scholarship is a partial scholarship. It covers only tuition fees. Candidates should be able to cover accommodation expenses, monthly stipends, travel expenses, healthcare or any categories of insurance, stationery, and visa.

NB: There is no loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for candidates who will be offered this Scholarship.

4.0. List of documents to be submitted

The following are list of documents to be included in the application package:

  1. Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts;
  2. Scanned copies of the passport biodata page and other documents containinginformation about the applicant and their current resident status;
  3. A Copy of a Birth Certificate Certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
  4. AFFIDAVIT if you noticed that your full names differ in your documents;
  5.  Application form attached with 3×4 cm photo; and vi. 8 colored passport-size photos (4×6 cm)

NB:
a) All the above-listed documents should be translated into Russian.
b) All certified copies of documents and their translations must be legalized and certified at the Consular section of the Russian Embassy.

5.0 Application process and submission

i. All applicants are asked to register at the site https://education-in-russia.com and then start the application by filling in all the fields of the online application form. ii. After completing the application process, submit the application by clicking the green button by 1st November, 2023 (24.00hrs) East Africa Time. Incomplete applications and applications submitted through other channels or authorities will not be considered.
