Key Responsibilities:

•Operate specific plant circuits within designated parameters based on metallurgical guidance.

•Consistently produce high-quality work safely and efficiently.

•Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment.

•Report equipment failures and abnormalities for repair.

•Collect and submit hourly/shift samples.

•Handle and mix reagents.

•Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines.

•Perform hourly readings of plant variables and analyze them.

•Accurately conduct shift handovers at the start and end of each shift.

•Participate positively in both unplanned and planned plant shutdowns.

•Engage in mill relining activities.

•Assess potential hazards and recommend appropriate solutions.

•Maintain general housekeeping standards.

•Participate in on-the-job and structured training, performance reviews, and development activities as required.

Qualifications:

•Form Four (IV) Secondary Education; a Diploma in Mineral Processing is an added advantage.

•Full Technician or Trade Certificate (FTC) in Mineral Processing or equivalent is an added advantage.

•Awareness of the Mines Health & Safety Act.

Experience and Competencies:

•Minimum of 1 year of experience in process operation within mineral processing.

•Over 2 years of experience in process plant operations.

•More than 2 years of experience handling and mixing chemicals and reagents.

•Over 2 years of experience in Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) operations.

•More than 2 years of experience in poly welding is an added advantage.

•Experience with comminution/crushing and grinding circuit operations.

•Experience with heavy media separation and concentrator operations.

•Experience with cyclone/classification process operations.

•Experience with mill reline activities is an added advantage.

•Experience with raw material/stockpile operations.

•Proficiency in communication and documentation management.

•Experience with computer applications and software skills, particularly Excel, is an added advantage.
