How to Apply?

Applying is simple and fully online!

Application Fees

– Tanzanian Applicants: TZS 50,000 (payable via online system).

General Admission Requirements

UDOM offers a range of postgraduate programmes, each with specific admission requirements. Here’s a brief overview:

1. Postgraduate Diploma
– A **Bachelor’s degree** with a minimum **GPA of 2.0**.
– Final-year undergraduate students with strong academic progress may apply for **provisional admission**.

2. Master’s by Coursework and Dissertation
– A **Bachelor’s degree** with at least a **GPA of 2.7**.
– Applicants with unclassified degrees (e.g., MD) must have a **B grade or above** in relevant subjects.
– Holders of **Postgraduate Diplomas** (minimum GPA of 3.0) are also eligible.

3. Master’s by Research and Thesis
– A **Bachelor’s degree** with a minimum **GPA of 3.5** or equivalent.
– Candidates with a GPA of **2.7 or higher** may be considered with additional training, experience, or a **published research article**.

4. PhD Programmes
– **PhD by Coursework & Dissertation**: Master’s degree with **GPA of 3.0 or above**.
– **PhD by Research & Thesis**: Master’s degree with **GPA of 3.0 or above** or **Master’s by Thesis**.

5. Higher Doctoral Degrees
– Open to applicants with **10+ years of academic or professional experience** post-Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD.
– Candidates must provide a **unifying statement** and a **portfolio of significant published research**.

6. Post-Doctoral Studies
– Applicants must have completed a **PhD within the last five years**.
– Candidates must have sponsorship through a **research project** affiliated with UDOM.
