Company Overview:
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of Tanzania’s trunk and regional road networks. Established in 2000, TANROADS plays a vital role in ensuring efficient transportation infrastructure throughout the country.
Project Overview:
TANROADS Coast, on behalf of the Chief Executive, is implementing two projects:
•Upgrading of Utete – Nyamwage (33.7 km) to Bitumen Standard
•Construction of Mramre Bridge (81 m) and its Approach Roads (3.0 km) to Bitumen Standard
Position Summary:
The Structure/Bridge Engineer will be responsible for the structural analysis, design, and assessment of bridges and drainage structures along the project road.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform structural analysis and design of bridges and drainage structures.
•Assess and ensure the structural integrity of existing and proposed structures.
•Collaborate with project teams to implement design improvements and modifications.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Bridge Engineering, or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
•Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
•At least five (5) years of experience in bridge design and construction.
•Experience in road works of similar nature is essential.
•Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
•Tanzanian citizenship.
Terms of Service:
These positions offer specified contracts for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project requirements.
