💼 Job Summary

The IT Auditor will be responsible for assessing IT systems, controls, and security protocols to ensure compliance with internal policies and Tanzanian regulations. The role involves identifying risks, conducting audits, and providing recommendations to strengthen the bank’s IT security framework.

📌 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

✅ Evaluate IT systems for security, performance, and compliance with local and international standards.

✅ Conduct IT risk assessments covering cybersecurity threats, fraud, and operational risks.

✅ Ensure compliance with Bank of Tanzania (BoT), TCRA regulations, and international audit standards like ISO 27001 and SOX.

✅ Assess and improve internal IT controls and security measures.

✅ Prepare audit reports highlighting risks, vulnerabilities, and recommendations.

✅ Work closely with IT teams, senior management, and external auditors to resolve audit findings.

✅ Monitor implementation of corrective actions and stay updated with evolving IT trends.

🎓 Required Qualifications

✔️ Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• Master’s degree or professional certification in IT auditing is an added advantage.

✔️ Certifications (Preferred):

• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)

• CISSP (Certified Information Security Specialist)

✔️ Experience:

• 3-5 years of IT auditing experience in banking or financial services.

• Knowledge of Bank of Tanzania (BoT) and TCRA regulations.

• Experience auditing core banking platforms, payment systems, and digital banking.

• Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), KYC, and data privacy regulations.
