🎓 1,051 Students Awarded Samia Scholarship for 2025 Academic Year
In a powerful move to support higher education and national development, the Government of Tanzania has announced that 1,051 students will receive Samia Scholarship funding for the 2025 academic year. This significant increase in beneficiaries reflects a growing commitment to invest in youth talent, innovation, and the future of Tanzania’s workforce.
📈 Increased Budget, Increased Opportunities
Speaking at a press briefing on July 22, 2025, in Dodoma, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adolf Mkenda, highlighted that this year’s scholarship intake surpasses last year’s 640 recipients due to a boosted national education budget.
“Out of the 1,051 students, 51 are students with special needs who achieved Division One in science subjects, and the remaining 1,000 are top national performers in science fields,” – Prof. Mkenda.
