HESLB Loan allocation Batch Three – October 2024. The Higher Education Student Loans Board today (Sunday, October 20, 2024) announced the Third Phase (Batch Three) with 19,345 undergraduate students who were assigned loans worth TZS 59.49 billion for the academic year 2024/2025. These 19,345 students are new first-year students joining various higher education institutions in the country for Bachelor Degrees.
The number of undergraduate students assigned reaches 70,990
Following the announcement of the Third Phase, the total number of new undergraduate students assigned loans has reached 70,990 and the value of their loans is TZS 223.3 billion, male students are 40,164 (56.58%) and female students are 30,825 (43.42%).
Loans for Diplomas
In addition, in this phase as well, there are 425 new diploma students (378 first year and 47 continuing studies) who have been assigned loans worth TZS 1.1 billion.
‘Samia Scholarship’ Grant
Until now, a total amount of TZS 3.02 billion has been given for grants to 599 students; (588 first phase and 11 second phase) of the first year who benefit from the ‘Samia Scholarship‘ for the academic year 2024/2025.
