We are inviting qualified professionals to apply for the position of Process Improvement and Operations Excellence Manager — a leadership role responsible for driving process efficiency, cost optimization, performance excellence, and innovation across business functions.
🎯 Job Purpose
The Process Improvement and Operations Excellence Manager will lead the bank’s efforts in streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
The role focuses on enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and championing digital transformation while maintaining compliance, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership

Provide leadership to design, implement, and execute functional strategic initiatives across departments.

Translate operational goals into actionable improvement plans that drive measurable results.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
2. Process Improvement
-
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies using Lean, Six Sigma, and other analytical methodologies.

Analyze workflows, map processes, and implement streamlined procedures to improve turnaround times.

Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring consistency across business units.
3. Cost Management & Resource Optimization
-
Champion cross-functional cost management, resource planning, and budget optimization.

Monitor and evaluate cost-efficiency metrics to ensure operational excellence.

Create sustainable systems that reinvest efficiency gains into growth and innovation.
4. Performance Management
-
Establish performance management frameworks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
-
Monitor branch and departmental operational performance, ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Prepare performance dashboards and reports for senior management decision-making.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
-
Partner with Operations, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams to ensure alignment with the bank’s overall strategy.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement process transformation initiatives.

Serve as the central liaison between departments to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, and internal audit standards.

Maintain alignment with KYC, AML/CFT, and BOT operational guidelines.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for operational vulnerabilities.
7. Technology & Innovation
-
Champion the adoption of automation tools and digital process solutions to enhance efficiency.

Drive technology-led improvements and support the digital transformation agenda.

Continuously evaluate and implement new tools for process monitoring, analytics, and reporting.
🎓 Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, Engineering, or any related field from a recognized institution.

Professional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Improvement are a strong advantage.
Knowledge Requirements

In-depth understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Knowledge of banking operations, financial processes, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Strong understanding of performance management systems, process mapping, and operational metrics.

Familiarity with digital transformation, automation tools, and business analytics platforms.

Awareness of service-level agreements (SLAs) and compliance monitoring procedures.

Proven ability to analyze complex operational data and implement effective solutions.

Skilled in performance tracking, KPI development, and dashboard reporting.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, process improvement, audit, or analytical roles,
with at least 3 years at a managerial level.

Proven experience implementing Lean or Six Sigma projects within a financial or operational environment.

Experience managing cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and improving performance metrics.
-
Exposure to digital banking operations, data analytics, or business transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
