About the Role
Bravo Group is looking for an experienced, commercially minded and technology-driven Fleet Manager. You will keep vehicles available, well utilized and safe, while controlling costs and delivering reliably. The role covers daily fleet deployment, drivers, dispatch, routing, fuel, maintenance, regulatory compliance and incident response. It is supported by performance reporting, telematics, automation and fleet analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet operations and dispatch
- Lead the dry port’s fleet operations to maximize vehicle availability, utilization, productivity and reliability.
- Plan and coordinate daily deployment, dispatch, routing and delivery schedules across ICD, CFS and Bulk Terminal operations.
- Coordinate container and cargo deliveries between the dry port, customers, port facilities, container depots and other logistics locations.
- Work with Operations to cut truck turnaround time, waiting time and empty or unproductive kilometers.
People and driver performance
- Manage drivers and fleet personnel, including shift planning, performance, discipline, productivity and compliance.
- Monitor driver behavior: speeding, harsh driving, unauthorized stops, excessive idling, route deviations, accidents and fuel efficiency.
Cost, fuel and maintenance control
- Build strong fuel management systems, monitor consumption by vehicle and driver, investigate abnormal usage and prevent leakage or misuse.
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
- Track tyres, spare parts, repairs and maintenance costs, with tight controls over fleet spending.
Compliance, safety and incident management
- Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet licensing, insurance, inspection, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Lead accident, breakdown and incident management, including investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective action.
Reporting, analytics and digital transformation
- Track KPIs such as vehicle utilization, trips per truck, turnaround time, kilometers travelled, idle time and cost per trip or kilometer.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly dashboards on availability, utilization, fuel, maintenance, downtime, driver performance, safety and operating costs.
- Drive Bravo Group’s digital agenda in fleet operations: GPS and telematics, automated dispatch, electronic trip management, fuel monitoring, digital maintenance scheduling, driver analytics and real-time dashboards.
- Use operational data to keep improving productivity, cost efficiency, safety and customer delivery performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- A background in Transport and Logistics, Fleet Management, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in fleet or transport management, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong experience managing commercial trucks and heavy vehicles.
- Solid understanding of fleet maintenance, fuel management, transport costing, driver management and road safety.
- Experience in container transport, ports, ICD/CFS, dry ports, bulk terminals or logistics operations is highly desirable.
- Experience with GPS, telematics, fleet management systems, digital dispatch and fleet analytics is a strong advantage.
