NACTE maombi ya Vyuo Forth Round 2023/2024. The National Council for Vocational Education and Vocational Training (NACTVET) informs the public that the results of the fourth round of admission elections for applicants for Health and Allied Sciences programs for the academic year 2023/2024 have been officially announced on September 19, 2023 .

The Council opened the fourth phase window from September 2 to September 16, 2023. A total of 6,757 applicants completed their applications by choosing various colleges and programs. In addition, 2,242 applicants were not qualified in the programs they applied for.

A total of 2,214 applicants (1,098 women (49.6%) and 1,116 men (50.4%)) have been selected to join 177 colleges. 80 applicants have been selected to join 19 government colleges, and 2,134 applicants have been chosen to join 158 non-government colleges.

In addition, qualified applicants who were not selected due to competition in the programs and colleges they applied for are advised to apply to join the programs and colleges that have space in the fifth phase window through the Joint Admission System.

All applicants can check the election results through the Council’s website (www.nactvet.go.tz) by clicking on CAS Selection 2023 for more information.
In addition, the Council informs the public that the window of the fifth phase has been officially opened on 19/09/2023 until 26/09/2023, and the election results will be released on 28/09/2023.

JOB TITLE: Clinician (23 posts)

  • SECTION: Clinical Care

SUMMARY OF POSITION
To provide general clinical services to people who are living with HIV/AIDS including provision of ART and treatment for opportunistic infection. He/She will work with facility staff and supports the Care &Treatment Services to ensure efficient in provision of services, monitoring and reporting

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking medical history, including appropriate physical examination and laboratory investigations
  • Staging of HIV clients for HIV managements
  • Providing clinical care to HIV clients in the clinic
  • Providing initial ART to al HIV positive clients
  • Management of complications of ART and opportunistic infections
  • In collaboration with CTC in charge ensure all clients are screened for TB and initiation of IPT to eligible clients is done and properly documented
  • Accurate and complete documentation ofclient information in all clients’ forms.
  • Providing counselling related to preventive health
  •  Providing consultation to HIV-positive clients on the community as requested
  • Monitoring of clients on ART, document and report any adverse drug reactions
  • Ensuring al clients are taken recommended investigations such as HVL, CD4 ni accordance with guidelines
  • Work closely with CTC in charge to coordinate service provision, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of care and treatment services, RCH/PMTCT activities and TB/HIV collaborative activities.
  • Assess and document all referrals, make follow-up and report on referral outcomes/feedback
  • Maintaining proper and accurate documentation and other data records as required for mmonitoring and evaluation within the clinic
  • Participating in Clinic Team Meetings and assisting the site manager with strategic planning for the Clinic.
  • Initiation and monitoring ofPost-Exposure Prophylaxis Provide health education to clients and their families
  • Al l c a r e and t r e a t m e n t is p r o v i d e d a c c o r d i n g to P A S A D A ‘ s
    s t a n d a r d O p e r a t i o n a l Procedures.
  • Occupational Health and safety standards are adhered to

Job Summary

The Data Officer is a team member at the Health Facility who enters, and keeps records and information on clients/patients, retrieving them for Clinicians and ensuring confidentiality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Entering quickly and accurately clinical, laboratory, tracking or other forms into database under the monitoring of District Data Coordinator, Data Supervisor and reporting to the Site Manager.
  • Producing, reviewing and sharing as per agreed schedule weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for various program areas such as HTS, index testing, enhanced PITC, PMTCT and TB/HIV.
  • Routinely analyzing and producing lists of patients for follow up such as missing appointment, LTFU, Viral Load, etc.
  • Facilitating simple data analysis and interpretation at the facility level to encourage data use for planning and decision making at the facility level.
  • Communicating both verbally and in writing with supervisors regarding forms with problems.
  • Monitoring various databases at the facility and communicate both verbally and in writing with supervisors regarding database challenges.
  • Reconciling differences between different databases by running queries, reviewing appropriate form and correcting all differences.
  • Locating and review archived or filed forms if necessary.
  • Attending data staff meetings at the specified times.
  • Communicating both verbally and in writing suggestions for improvements to data entry or data flow to supervisors.
  • Performing other data tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills

  • At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a data entry officer in the HIV/AIDS program settings.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintains confidentiality in all aspects.

Job Title: Volunteer Facility Based Hiv Tester (55 Posts)

Location: Amana, Temeke and Mwananyamala RRHs, Dar es Salaam City Council, Kigamboni, Kinondoni, Temeke and Ubungo Municipal Councils Reports to: Facility In-charge

Job Summary

The HIV Tester supports the facility In-charge to ensure efficient implementation and reporting of HIV testing services and ART linkage at the facility. She/He is responsible for the facility implementation and reporting of all HTS initiatives in her/his respective facility under the guidance of the facility PITC focal person and in collaboration with facility in-charge, CTC in charge and other relevant health facility staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creating awareness and education on the existence of HIV Testing Services (HTS) i.e. educating clients on all aspects of HIV diseases and treatment management as well as basic health lifestyles.
  • Serving as liaison between clinicians/clinics, individuals screened and care centers.
  • Providing counseling and testing while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, provide psychosocial support and assist with referral and linkages.
  • Assessing and document all referrals, make follow-up and report on referral outcomes.
  • Monitor the quality (QA/QC) of test kits by control materials/samples from laboratory department.
  • Ensuring safe storage of HTS related items and to request/prepare all the necessary consumables for HTS services.
  • Compiling and submit HTS reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly to HTS coordinators.
  • Keeping accurate HTS and referral/linkage records (logbooks, registers, reports).
  • Working with team member to monitor quality improvement plans with regards to the established performance targets/indicators.
  • Ensuring HIV testing is performed according to the National HIV Testing algorithm.
  • Participating fully in National EQA program for HIV rapid test.
  • Performing any other duties that may be required by the clinical team.

Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills

  • At least a Diploma in Medicine, Nursing or other related health field.
  • Must have a valid license of practice (Certificate for HIV testing is an added advantage).
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment services
  • Ability to maintains confidentiality in all aspects
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Kiswahili.

Reports to: Facility In-charge

Job Summary

The Facility Based Tracker works with and supports the facility HTS focal person to ensure efficient implementation and reporting of HIV testing services and ART linkage at the facility. She/he is responsible for ensuring HIV positive clients linked into care and treatment services remain in long life ART use.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying patients who missed their clinic visits schedule timely and conduct telephone tracking.
  • Preparing, share list with, and support CBHS providers/peers/community tracker to conduct home visits to track all clients who missed their scheduled visit that were not found through the phone and those who don’t have telephone.
  • Updating and Facilitate data entry of all tracking outcomes into the CTC2 card and database, working with clinician/counselor and data officer.
  • Conducting weekly review of CTC2 cards and database to ensure that tracking outcomes are updated and entered on CTC2 database.
  • Ensuring unknown clients are tracked timely and 70% returned to care monthly.
  • Working with referral focal, counselor/ clinician to ensure that all transfer out clients have up to date/ reachable phone contact details and physical address on record.
  • Working with referral focal, counselor and data officer to confirm that all clients that transferred out reached their destination facility.
  • Providing health education on importance of clinic adherence to clients and family
  • Supporting the patient adherence to medication and clinic visit schedules.
  • Recording and reporting tracking services daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Preparing summary report weekly, monthly and quarterly and submit to site manager and district retention and community officer.
  • Participating in data management and net loss analysis at facility and district level
  • Participating in QI activities that aimed to increase retention at facility level.
  • Bringing up ideas/ comments that may contribute to better system of patients follow up.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by a line supervisor.

Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills

  • At least a Diploma in social work or community development or any other health related course.
  • Bachelor degree on social and community development will be an added advantage.
  • Must have certificate in basic computer applications,
  • At least one (1) year experience working in the field of expertise
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Ability to maintains confidentiality in all aspects
