It is entrusted with the responsibility of regulating the development of the Cashew Industry in Tanzania in undertaking its mandated roles. The Cashewnut Board puts more emphasis in improving efficiency and effectiveness in the cashewnut sub-sector in order to meet requirements of different stakeholders thereby enabling them to contribute to the national development.
Manyoni District was established in 1958, being the first District in Tanzania to have an African District Commissioner Hon. The late Dastan Omary ruled until 1960. Manyoni District is one of the six districts in the Singida Region of Tanzania. The district capital is the town of Manyoni. The district is bordered to the north by the Ikungi District, to the east by the Dodoma Region, to the south by the Iringa Region, to the southwest by the Mbeya Region and to the west by the Tabora Region.
