DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out, independently, specified routine technical tasks which require a higher degree of technical knowledge and skills;
- To implement specified maintenance plans for laboratory facilities;
- To implement specified technical plans and designs connected with research, students’ practical and consultancy work;
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of First Degree/Advanced Diploma/ NTA level 8 in Laboratory Sciences or from recognized institution.

3 TRANSCRIBER II – SIGN LANGUAGES INTERPRETER (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) in the classrooms/Lecture rooms;
- To provide tutoring and/or note taking services for DHH students;
- To interpret any conversation, meeting and training session; and interview-or other requested event, including providing oral interpretation to employees who do not use sign language;
- To respond to student with difficulties and concerns with understanding and sensitivity;
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holders of Bachelor Degree in Special Education for the Hearing impairment from a recognized Institution.

4 TRANSCRIBER II – BLIND (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in transcribing undergraduate handouts, chapters and passages;
- To assist in servicing of Braillers and audio-visual compact cassettes;
- To assist in making minor maintenances;
- To assist reading for blind undergraduate and records books for talking books;
- To perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holders of Bachelor Degree in Special Education for the Blind from a recognized Institution.
