OVERVIEW.

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The primary

responsibility of this role is to safely and prudently operate company vehicles while maintaining

them in excellent condition. The Driver will also be responsible for reporting any vehicle issues to

the driver supervisor and maintaining accurate records and reports related to the company’s motor

vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES.

o Carefully and prudently drive company vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, and goods

as required

o Report all motor vehicle problems, accidents, and incidents promptly to the driver supervisor.

o Compile accurate records and reports of all motor vehicle activities, including mileage, fuel

consumption, and maintenance records.

o Ensure the cleanliness and good condition of all company vehicles, both interior and exterior.

o Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, including speed limits, parking, and other road signs.

o Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water, and tire pressure,

and arrange for timely servicing and repairs when necessary.

o Assist in loading and unloading goods or materials from the vehicle when required.

o Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

o Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS.

1. Certificate of Advanced Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with a Basic Driving Course

offered by VETA and NIT.

2. Valid and current driver’s license (Class C) with a good track record in driving for not less than

three (3) years.

3. At least three (3) years of driving experience.

4. Excellent driving skills and a thorough understanding of road safety rules and regulations.

5. Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and reports.

6. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.

7. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

9. Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
