The Tanzania National Team Taifa Stars today January 17, 2024 will throw its first card in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Morocco at Stade Laurent Pokou, Ivory Coast. The game will be played at 11:00 PM in West Africa time while in East Africa time it will be 2:00 PM.
Speaking to a journalist heading into the game, Taifa Stars Head Coach Adel Amrouche said, his current goals are to create a team that will be able to compete in international competitions, especially considering that Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda are the countries that will host the AFCON championship in 2027 so we must have a strong team that will promote the East African region well.
“Overall, the team is well prepared for tomorrow’s game and we are happy to play against a big team because the players will have a chance to compete for the National and show their standards” said Amrouche
