Ajira za walimu 2024/25, MPs order the government to employ more teachers

The sessions of the parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania which are going on in the parliament in the city of Dodoma, have been surrounded by the cry of many parliamentarians asking for teachers jobs in their councils.

During the question and answer session for the ministry of the president’s office, regional administrations and local governments (TAMISEMI), MPs have asked the ministry to give answers about when the government will hire more teachers together to eliminate the cry of shortage of teachers in various schools in the country.

In these questions, the MP for Singida East has asked the question of when the government will send teachers to his council which is facing a shortage of teachers.

Also during the question and answer session for the ministry of TAMISEMI, the Member of Parliament questioned the government about the teachers who volunteer at various schools to be employed temporarily so that the teachers can support themselves as they volunteer for free without any payment.

Another member of parliament has also asked about the criteria for teachers who graduated in previous years so that those teachers can enter the employment system as they age.
