🎓 Scholarship Overview
The Commonwealth Scholarships are designed to support outstanding students from least-developed and fragile Commonwealth countries, including Tanzania, who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK.

Master’s Degree (1 year full-time)
PhD Degree (3-4 years full-time)
Eligible candidates must select a program aligned with global development goals such as:

🧾 Who Can Apply?
For Master’s Degree:
Hold a First Class or Upper Second-Class Honours Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
For PhD:
Possess a relevant Master’s degree with at least Upper Second-Class or Distinction.
For All Applicants:
Must be Tanzanian citizens or recognized refugees in a Commonwealth country
Must secure support from at least one UK-based supervisor or university
Must provide certified academic transcripts and certificates
Must submit a detailed study plan showing potential impact on Tanzanian development
Two academic recommendation letters required
PhD candidates must also submit a supporting statement from a UK institution
👉 Note: Applicants with qualifications from outside Tanzania must verify them with the relevant Tanzanian authorities.
