“The President has given permission to hire 46,000 employees and in that number, the permission for the employment of teachers is 12,000 and the employment of Health is more than 10,000 and I believe that in collaboration with our colleagues from TAMISEMI we will ensure the shortage of teachers in our areas, we will go to areas with a large shortage and we are thinking of having a new recruitment procedure through our regions and in consideration of the opinions of the members of parliament” George Simbachawene

Originally answering the question, the Deputy Minister of the Office of the President – TAMISEMI who deals with Education Zainab Katimba said in May 2023 the government hired 13,130 teachers and before the end of the financial year 2023/24 the government will hire other employees.
