To make the employment process successful, the Office of the President – TAMISEMI Creates a Special Team, to do Application Analysis Employment, involving various institutions. These institutions include Office of the President White House, Office of the President, Service Management of Public and Good Governance, Office of the President – TAMISEMI, Office of Prime Minister, Labour, Youth, Employment and People with Disabilities, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Tanzania Universities Commission (TCU), Tanzania Examinations Council (NECTA), National Council of Vocational and Vocational Education (NACTVET), Secretariat of Employment, Prevention and Anti-Corruption Institute (PCOC), and Professional Councils in the Health Sector

Criteria used in selection process

Due to the large number of applicants, the team for analysis of Job Applications are given the developed criteria
as a guide for providing employment to applicants, for the purpose of to ensure the presence of justice and transparency in this exercise. In to ensure gender equality is achieved, in criteria used to get new employees for the respective year, each the criterion considered the gender ratio. The parameters used are as follows:-

1. Graduation year

In this criterion, priority is given to applicants with Qualifications that preceded graduation in order of year, according
and the need for the cadre/course or level of Education, as well as the year of the course began to produce graduates. For example the graduate of 2017 are more likely to be selected than the graduate of 2022

2.  Age of birth

Qualified applicants arranged according to criterion number (i) above were arranged according to age of birth. The goal is enabling applicants who are close to 45 years of age to enter the public service on permanent terms, in accordance with the Employment Management and Employment Policy Public Service Second edition of 2008.

4. Applicants with Disabilities

The analysis of the applications of people with Disabilities followed the criteria both graduation year and age of birth,
shown in item (i) and (ii). However, the criteria these were used to compete for applicants with disabilities only
them, in accordance with the requirement of the Law on Persons with Disabilities No. 9 of 2010, article 31 (1)-(3). This analysis carried out in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister, Labour, Youth, Employment and People with Disabilities.

  • Failure to fill in the necessary information correctly

Failure to fill in the correct information in the TAMISEMI employment application system may lead to missing the chance of employment due to the large number of applicants. Just the slightest mistake can lead to someone being removed from the employment process. Examples of information such as the correct names that match your names on the certificates, year of birth, residence information and so on. When the names differ between the system and the names on your certificates, it may cause to be removed on the list. It is important to be careful when you fill your information on the TAMISEMI employment system (mfumo wa maombi ya ajira).

  • Not attaching required documents

Failure to attach required documents and certificates leads to removal from the employment process. The TAMISEMI system provides a guide to the required certificates, when you skip or attach a certificate or document that is incorrect it leads to missing employment opportunities. Required Documents are as follows

  1. Full training certificates of the fieldyou studied (Form form four Certificate, form six certificates,  Profession certificates and full registration active License for health cadres.
  2. National Identification Number (NIN); an
  3. A copy of the birth certificate.
  4. Curriculum Vitae
  5. Application letter
  • Poor Application letter

A job application letter, also known as a cover letter, should be sent or uploaded with your resume when applying for jobs. While your resume offers a history of your work experience and an outline of your skills and accomplishments, the job application letter you send to an employer explains why you are qualified for the position and should be selected for an interview. Failure to do so can eliminate you from employment opportunity.

Even when employers don’t require a job application letter, writing one will help you highlight your skills and achievements and get the hiring manager’s attention. The only time not to send one is when the job listing says not to do so.

  • Not attaching Certificates with attorney’s stamp

Many jobs in UTUMIMISHI – AJIRA PORTAL have a requirement for applicants to put a lawyer’s stamp (Muhuri wa mwanasheria) on their certificates to confirm the validity and ownership of those certificates. As it is for EMPLOYMENT PORTAL, TAMISEMI also they can consider that aspect as well. It is best to verify your certificates with a lawyer stamp.
