Teachers called for interviews for 11,000 teacher positions – Usaili wa walimu 2024/2025
THOUSANDS of applicants for teaching positions in Local Government Authorities have been called for interviews for 11,000 jobs which was expected to start on October 23, this year.
In July this year, the government advertised the vacancies for primary and secondary school teachers.
Previously, applicants for the cadre were applying through the recruitment system of the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (RALG) and there was no such interview. Applicants were applying through the system and after analysis, qualified candidates were assigned work stations.
However, the Public Service Employment Secretariat has been responsible for these job positions this time.
In the announcement issued by the secretariat calling for applicants for interviews, it is stated that the interviews was expected be conducted from October 23 to November 16, this year and finally assigning work stations to those who succeed.
The Previous schedule for the preliminary interview was October 23, this year, at 1:00 am for those who applied for Grade IIIA and Primary Education and will be held at various centers according to the current address of the applicant.
From November 11 to 16, this year, interviews will be held for applicants for these positions in the regions that the interviewees chose and confirmed that they have applied for a job in that region and that the relevant centers will be notified through their Ajira Portal accounts and the secretariat website.
Also, for the position of Grade IIIB Teacher in Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the preliminary interview will be held on October 25, this year, at 1:00 am at various centers according to the current addresses of the relevant applicants.
In the interview for these positions, on November 13, this year, at 1:00 am, it will be held for the position of Grade IIIB Teacher of Biology and Chemistry while on November 15 it will be the Grade IIIB Teacher of Geography and on November 18 the ICT Teacher.
Similarly, the preliminary interview for Grade IIIB Teacher of History, Primary Schools, Swahili, Early Childhood Education, Civics will be held on October 27, this year, and their interview will be held for the History teacher on November 15, this year, Swahili, Civics and Early Childhood Education (November 16) and Primary School Teacher (November 19).
On October 31, this year, the preliminary interview for the position of Grade IIIC Geography Teacher will be held and the interview interview will be held on November 15.
On November 2, the preliminary interview for the position of Grade IIIC History Teacher will be held and the interview interview will be held on November 15. The position of Grade IIIC English Literature Teacher will be held on November 16, this year.
However, the preliminary interview for Grade IIIC Biology, IT, Economics Teacher will be held on November 6, this year, with the interview time being November 14 for Biology Teacher, November 15 for Economics Teacher and November 18 for IT Teacher.
The Preliminary Interview for Grade IIIC Teacher of Chemistry, Primary Schools, Special Education, Civics and Agriculture will be held on November 8, this year, while the interview will be held on November 13 for the Teacher of Chemistry, Civics (November 16), Agriculture (November 18), Primary Schools and Special Education (November 19).
In addition, applicants for Grade IIIB Teacher of Physics will conduct their interview on November 14, this year while Grade IIIB Teacher of Mathematics will be held on November 12, this year in parallel with Grade IIIC Teacher of Physics and Mathematics.
For Grade III B Teacher of English Literature, the interview will be held on November 16, this year and November 18 will be held for applicants for Grade IIIB Teacher of French, Business, Nutrition, Tailoring and Agriculture in parallel with Grade IIIC Teacher of Business and Laboratory.
On November 19, interviews will be held for the positions of Special Education Teacher IIIA, Grade IIIB Business Teacher, Special Education and Grade IIIC Business Teacher.
Recently, the Deputy Minister in the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Deus Sangu said that the government’s intention to submit employment permits for health and education cadres to the President’s Office, Public Service Employment Secretariat is to ensure that the government receives qualified employees, in order to increase productivity and quality in the public service.
