Transpower Ltd is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. Job Summary:
•Job Title: Site Engineer
•Job Type: Contract
•Location: Remote
• Positions Available: 2
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of Construction Works:
•Oversee detailed surveys, pole erection, stringing of conductors, substations, and connection of house holds.
•Ensure quality control and compliance with drawings, specifications, Bill of Materials, safety regulations, and national/international standards.
2. Personnel Management:
•Supervise construction personnel, including subcontractors and laborers.
3. Design Review:
•Ensure the system performs as designed at project completion without compromising scope and quality.
4. Material Inspection:
•Verify materials meet approved specifications and standards.
•Manage material utilization to avoid wastage.
5. Technical Meetings:
•Attend site technical meetings and address potential problem areas proactively.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
•Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and implementation schedules.
•Present reports to project stakeholders.
7. Testing & Commissioning:
•Conduct and supervise testing of various systems and plants according to industry procedures and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
•Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site/Construction Engineer in Medium Voltage Distribution Lines and MV Substations.
• Skills & Competencies:
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Proficiency in using construction software and tools.
