Maswali ya Usaili Tume ya uchaguzi NEC – 2024, Inerview questions National Election Commission (NEC), The Independent National Electoral Commission has allowed voters who are registered in the Permanent Register of Voters, who want to update or transfer their information from one state or ward to another state or ward to use small local phones or manuals to initiate the process of updating the Register.
According to the public information issued by the Commission and signed by the Director of Elections of the Independent National Election Commission, Mr. Kailima Ramadhani, the decision of the Commission is based on the opinions of the election stakeholders.
“The commission has worked on the opinions and advice (of stakeholders) and from July 20, 2024, all people with regular phones (known as landline or landline) and will need to upgrade or transfer their information, will get that service by dialing USSD Code *152* 00# and press the number 9 and then continue with other steps as it will be directed to the relevant phone,” reads part of this statement

INEC urges officials to improve the Registry in Tabora and Katavi Regions to have cooperation between them, Government, Political Parties.This was said by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Hon. Judge (Appeals) Jacobs Mwambegele while opening a two-day training session for Regional Admission Coordinators, Enrollment Officers, Assistant Enrollment Officers at the State level, Electoral Officers, Supply Officers and IT Officers of the council which started today July 9 and 10, 2024 in Tabora Region.
Such training has also been opened in Katavi Region by a member of the Independent National Electoral Commission who is also a High Court Judge, Hon. Asina Omari and it is being done as a preparation for the improvement of the Register in those regions which is expected to take place on 20 to 26, 2024.
